Placing an Order & Delivery charges:

How do I place an Order?

You look at the Price List, then please email me at john@mtrains.co.uk with your requirements. I will check stock levels, then email you back with an invoice. The website does not have a shopping cart facility.

Delivery charges - Postage & Packing / Shipping & Handling:

  Delivery within the United Kingdom:

Postage charges: Free delivery on UK orders - the prices shown on the Price List include delivery using second class / small parcel post. There will be no additional posting / packing charge. In the case of higher value orders signed for post may be used.

Multiple Item Discounts: If you wish to order more than one item, so as not to overcharge you for the cost of delivery, a multiple item discount of 80p will be deducted from the invoice for every item after the first.

Payment methods: The Price List assumes payment by a method with no fees - for example cheques or bank transfer. PayPal is also accepted so long as you are prepared to pay their fees at cost (3.4% plus 20p). Payment by card cannot currently be done.

Packing materials: Small orders / items will be sent in a high quality jiffy bag or envelope. These will fit through normal letter boxes. Larger items, or orders containing several neomagnets, will generally come in a sturdy recycled cardboard box with padding around the contents.

  Delivery for items sent internationally:

Postage charges: The UK delivery charge(s) included in the price list will be deducted from the invoice, and will be replaced with postage at the cost of the estimated weight of the package to your country. The postage costs will depend on weight, size, and which country you are in.

International Tracked / Signed service will be used for higher value orders. Royal Mail fees can be found on their website and will be calculated at cost on the invoice.

Multiple Item Discounts: If you wish to order more than one item, so as not to overcharge for the cost of delivery, a multiple item discount of 80p will be deducted from the invoice for every item after the first.

Payment methods: International payments are usually made by PayPal, or by bank transfer if you have a UK current account. If you do, IBAN and BIC information will be provided.

PayPal’s fees depend which country you are in, and can be found on their website. EU, USA, Canada are 3.9% plus 20p. Australia, New Zealand, and the Rest of the World are 4.9% plus 20p. Plus 2% which is the additional currency conversion charge which PayPal make.

Neomagnets: Orders which include neomagnets will usually be packed in a cardboard box irrespective of the size of the order. This is because jiffy bags containing neomagnets have a history of being eaten by some international postal services' sorting machinery. In this case, the delivery charge will be calculated at the small parcel rate rather than the large letter rate.
